A lot of people that have roles in technology roles (developers, operations, management) truly have the proper technology skills for the job. However, in our career we have encountered too many people just don’t seem to want to go beyond their current skillset to being a true subject matter expert and having a high level of “competency”.
For those that truly do want to be better and work with their teammates better, how do we deal with this? Why does this seem to be a really common problem in the technology sector as a whole? And finally, what can we do about this to be better and move forward?
